Captain Jonathan Quick ran Interplanetary Force H before he volunteered to be rebuilt. When Commander Stargazer needed a squad that could survive the journey to the Galaxy of Limbo and go toe to toe with Mon*Star, Quick was the first name on the list, and he became Quicksilver, field leader of the SilverHawks.

He is the face of the show for a reason. Steel hair, a level head, and the fastest reflexes on the team. Where Bluegrass improvises and Steelwill overpowers, Quicksilver reads the board and calls it.

Partly metal, partly real

Every SilverHawk gave up a human body to make the trip. The process leaves the face and one arm exposed, seals the rest in armour, and adds the things that make them a police force rather than a crew: wings that fold out from under the arms, thrusters in the heels, and lasers in the shoulders. Quicksilver’s mask drops over his face when he flies.

Tally-Hawk

Tally-Hawk is the part people remember. A cybernetic bird that rides Quicksilver’s forearm, launches on command, scouts ahead, relays what it sees, and comes back on a wrist remote. It is the closest thing the SilverHawks have to a partner rather than a tool, and it is the reason the Quicksilver toy has always needed two of them, one perched and one in flight.

Against Mon*Star

MonStar is an escaped mob boss who calls on the Moonstar of Limbo to transform into an armoured monster roughly three times Quicksilver’s size. Quicksilver almost never wins that fight straight. He wins it by getting the team into position first, and by knowing which of the other four can hold MonStar for the thirty seconds that takes.

Super7 opened the SilverHawks ULTIMATES! line with Quicksilver in Wave 1, 7 inch scale, cartoon accurate, with an alternate head, winged arms, six alternate hands, four laser effects, the Tally-Hawk wrist remote, and both Tally-Hawk sculpts.
