Junk is a robot dog and he is rough with anyone who is not Larry, and that is the entire characterisation the show gives him. He attacks Flashback when two SilverHawks come to Asteroid Trash looking for a missing suitcase, and is shut away for the rest of that visit. He matters on the second visit, when the SilverHawks work out that the Dirty Larry in front of them is Mo-Lec-U-Lar wearing Larry’s shape. A watchdog that knows its owner is a useful thing to have around a shapeshifter, and the episode uses him for exactly that.
