His debut is the boldest thing the series ever attempts. In his own era the original SilverHawks are already dead, killed stopping Hardware’s Combustion Crystal, and an aged Stargazer sends him back to change it. He succeeds, returns, and finds Quicksilver alive.

The show never says how far forward he comes from, only that the SilverHawks are in his time’s history books. His suit is openly better than everyone else’s, rated to at least eight million degrees against their half a million, and he carries a chin-mounted radio transmitter.

His time power works at both scales, and that is what makes him useful week to week rather than once. He can rewind a minute inside a fight, which is how he outruns Timestopper, and he can make the long jump that brought him here in the first place. His life before conversion is never established, which is true of every SilverHawk introduced after the pilot.
