Backlash

Backlash wears the same green as Flashback and shares his one real capability, which is that it goes through the time warp with him rather than waiting on the other side. No other Fighting Hawk travels.

The rest of the loadout is standard for the birds: eye lasers, sharp talons, and a head used to hook and snag. The fan record adds tracking it describes as bloodhound-like. Its biggest outing is Window in Time, where it fights Hardware’s combat drone and helps chase him back through the warp. In Moon*Star it is captured along with Flashback and dumped into deep space, and the Copper Kidd recovers it flying the Mirage.

There is a debut oddity worth recording. Backlash is already on screen in Junkyard Dog, and Window in Time is nonetheless written and staged as its introduction. The fan record lists Junkyard Dog first while flagging the same problem, so we have carried both facts rather than picking one.
