Sky-Runner is filed under MonStar’s Mob rather than under the Fighting Hawks, and that is the right call. MonStar controls it with the rays of the Moon*Star, so it is not a vehicle he pilots at all. It is a creature he dominates, week after week, and the show never once treats that as something to be uneasy about.
It appears in a great many episodes as the standard shot of MonStar leaving BrimStar, which makes it one of the most-seen things in the series without ever being a character. Zero The Memory Thief, Smiley, Countdown to Zero, Uncle Rattler and The Blue Door all have it.
The show never explains where it came from, whether it is natural or built, or what becomes of it when Mon*Star reverts. Kenner released a Sky-Runner vehicle with grasping tentacles in the 1987 wave, and that is where most collectors met it first.
