Airshock is the clearest case on the whole site of a toy outrunning the show. Kenner shipped “Mumbo-Jumbo with Airshock” in the first 1986 wave, and the fan record and the transformerland collector’s guide agree on that. The screen record is one episode.
That episode is Gangwar - Part II, where Airshock helps get the Sky Chomper working again for the Hardware and Buzz-Saw jailbreak. The mechanic everyone describes, flying in, folding into a hammer head at the moment of impact, then being thrown for a speed boost, is a reading of that one sequence. The ThunderCats wiki says plainly that not much is known about the bird, and that is a fair summary of where the evidence leaves us.
Anyone building a reference archive should file Airshock as toy-prominent and screen-marginal. It is not a small distinction, because the Kenner line is where most people met these birds.
