The Artificial Sun

Limbo has no star of its own. It has a machine shaped like an enormous satellite dish, run from a control room inside it by the lightbulb-headed Professor Power, and that machine burns fuel which has to be tankered in. It is the best idea in the show’s worldbuilding! Daylight becomes a supply line, and a supply line is something a criminal organisation can cut.

The series uses it four times and never the same way twice. The Mob seize the sun outright, they steal its energy magnifier, they blockade its oil, and they burn it out.
