Demonstrated in the same scene as the Screamer, on a pencil, which it heats enough to burn the Copper Kidd slightly. Steelwill takes it rather than the Screamer.
When the Screamer fails on Mon*Star, Steelwill turns the Steamer on Sky-Runner instead and heats the metal casing until Mon*Star has to break off and retreat. Going for the mount rather than the rider is a better piece of tactics than this show usually bothers with.
