Grey cylinders that light white when armed and flash red before they go. Steelwill shows how easy they are to set, which tells you they are meant to be used in a hurry.

The twins plant a group of them on the surface of the Planet Eater and hear the whole area go up as they leave Brim*Star. Everyone concludes the thing is finished. It is not. The Planet Eater comes back later in a plot to replace the Artificial Sun.
