The Mirage

The team ship is a five-seat craft in light blue: Bluegrass up front in a hawk-headed cockpit, the other four lying prone in pods that launch, four engines, wing lasers and a chute brake for emergencies. Its trick, and the reason for the name, is that the carrier section vanishes and leaves the one-seat cockpit flying on alone.

The name has three spellings and each of them has a real source, so we are not collapsing them. The show says Mirage: Bluegrass has the line in the first episode, timestamped by the fan wiki that cites dialogue, and the Cartoon Databank agrees. The Kenner box says MARAJ, which is confirmed by four separate collector listings, and Wikipedia and TV Tropes follow the box. Miraj is a common transcription of the spoken name and it is what our own episode data uses in episodes 49 and 65.

So: the show says one thing, the toy box says another, and both are correct about themselves. One wiki claims the packaging read Mirage, and every toy source we checked contradicts that.
